Professional Statement

J’Arcadia’N is a medical practice shaped on my own terms—guided by my core values and the real needs of my patients. It grew from years of clinical encounters with people seeking treatment but equally seeking to be truly heard, understood, and met with honest, steady truth—even when that truth is difficult. My work is grounded in responsible, evidence-based diagnostics and clear therapeutic judgment, always directed toward what best serves the individual patient. At its heart, J’Arcadia’N is a commitment to
empathy, knowledge, and insight.
—where medicine serves the patient solely.
Nadja Jarc, M.D.

I am a German and Slovenian board-certified neurosurgeon with over 15 years of experience in clinical practice, academic research, and international medical collaboration.

After completing my medical studies in 2009 at the University of Ljubljana, I gained early research experience in intraoperative neurophysiology and functional neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, USA (2010). I trained in neurology (University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Slovenia, 2011–2013) and neurosurgery (University Medical Center Freiburg, Germany, 2013–2020), receiving board certification in general neurosurgery in Germany in 2021, with full licensure also in Slovenia. I further specialized in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery (2021–2025) at the University Medical Center Freiburg, Germany.

Since 2024, I have also been performing international medical expert opinions in complex neurological, neurosurgical, and associated cases, including medico-legal assessments for court matters.

Furthermore, I was invited to join the reviewer board of high-tier scientific journals, reflecting my continued academic engagement and expertise.

My professional ethos is grounded in evidence-based, patient-centered care and the highest standards of medical ethics.

I have participated in international teaching initiatives such as the Freiburg International Academy and have contributed to university-level teaching in collaboration with international consultants, including visiting attending neurosurgeons from the United Kingdom.

I take pride in interdisciplinary and cross-border cooperation, including pro bono pediatric consultations for underserved regions and personal research stays in both North America and Europe.

Fluent in several languages, I have worked throughout my career in multilingual, multicultural teams. Colleagues and patients who value integrity and professionalism have described me as dedicated, precise, and inspiring—whether in complex surgical decision-making, academic collaboration, or patient care.

My goal remains consistent: to contribute meaningfully to the field of neurosurgery while offering responsible, respectful, and human-centered care. In today’s medicine, empathy should never be a luxury—it is an ethical and clinical necessity when entrusted with another person’s health, especially when that care involves the most person-defining of organs: the nervous system.

I strive to provide each patient with the medical clarity, calm, and dignity they deserve.
